Managing No-Show Charges and Requests for Waivers

Overview: If a guest doesn’t show up for their reservation, a no-show charge typically applies. However, in some cases, such as emergencies, you may be able to request a waiver of the charge. Here’s how to manage no-show situations.

Key Points:

    •    What Is a No-Show Charge?

A no-show charge is applied when a guest doesn’t arrive and hasn’t canceled the reservation in time. This fee is typically non-refundable unless there are valid reasons for the guest’s absence.

    •    When Can I Request a Waiver?

Waivers are only granted in exceptional circumstances, such as medical emergencies or unforeseen events like family tragedies or travel complications. You’ll need to provide appropriate documentation for the waiver request.

    •    What Happens After the Request?

We’ll submit the request to the hotel on your behalf, but keep in mind that the hotel has the final say in granting the waiver. If the request is denied, iOL X cannot be held responsible for the charge.
